Miley Cyrus's feud with Sinead O'Connor couldn't have started at a better time. According to an Oct. 4 report by Hollywood Life, Miley is going to throw some major shade at Sinead during her "Saturday Night Live" appearance. And Sinead isn't the only celeb that will feel the wrath of Miley—the twerking queen is also going to take a dig at her ex, "Catching Fire" cutie Liam Hemsworth.
The feud between Miley and Sinead started when Sinead criticized the nudity in Miley's "Wrecking Ball" video. Miley responded by comparing Sinead to Amanda Bynes, and Sinead fired back by basically telling Miley that she should be ashamed of herself for making fun of mental illness.
A source told Hollywood Life that Miley Cyrus is going to keep the feud going by tearing up a photo of Sinead O'Connor on SNL. Obviously she'll be spoofing Sinead's 1992 SNL performance—when she ripped up a picture of Pope John Paul II, the Irish singer caused a major controversy and got the kind of massive attention that Miley lives for. However, while Sinead was trying to send the world an important message about sexual abuse in the Roman Catholic Church, Miley is simply being mean-spirited by mocking someone for daring to criticize her sledgehammer licking.
But SNL is all in fun, right? So instead of doing something predictable like ripping up a picture of Sinead, perhaps Miley should take a sledgehammer to a naked statue of the singer wearing a pope hat. Or she could shave her head and twerk to "Nothing Compares 2 U." Miley obviously wants to get under Sinead's skin, and either action would be a good way to accomplish that goal.
But Miley won't have too much time to do skits about Sinead—she also wants to squeeze in a dig or two aimed at Liam Hemsworth. "I’m sure they’re going to do a skit or something on it," an insider told Perez Hilton. "She’s totally cool with the breakup and not running from it. She would so be down to do something or mention it for the sake of comedy." Maybe she'll attack the "Catching Fire" star by smashing into him on a giant wrecking ball in her own twisted, twerk-tastic version of "The Hunger Games."
So are you looking forward to Miley's "Saturday Night Live" appearance?
