Miley Cyrus was looking for a good start after Christmas. With much hype about her single Adore You, the star was hoping to have a new video viewing record for her latest official music video. Except someone leaked the video on Christmas. And with the official released on Thursday, fans are slamming the star for the video with some calling it too suggestive and others calling it boring.
“#AdoreYou Watch the music video,” tweeted Miley Cyrus from her official Twitter account on Thursday. The entertainer included a link to the official video. “We all know Smilers would break another record if it wasn't for the **ck face who leaked my video. Alllllll good! Keep smiling.”
Even though Miley Cyrus might suggest smiling, she probably isn't happy that the comments on the video are more negative than ever. It seems even some of her fans aren't finding the new video worthy of breaking a world record on views.
“Imagine those poor 8 year old kids who still look up to Miley Cyrus who are gonna go around feeling themselves and licking their fingers and biting things seductively. This is almost freaking porn,” wrote TheAppleGirl100 on the comment section. MissVirtuosic wrote “Love the song so much, but it would be nice if one of your videos had clothes....”
Fans of Miley Cyrus are pointing out that the star can portray the song in the video however the celebrity chooses and frankly that’s exactly what she did. So how will this music video match up to other videos Miley has released in 2013? Only time will share that answer!
