Hot on the heels of twerking and tonguing her way into the tabloid headlines from the recent “2013 MTV Music Video Awards,” Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” Vevo video, released on Sept. 9, has broken the page view record “for most viewed video in 24 hours.”
The previous record held by One Direction for their 12.3 million hits after 24 hours was beat by “Wrecking Ball” after only 13 hours, according to Perez Hilton.
Early this morning, Miley tweeted:
Wrecking Ball has officially beat the @VEVO record. 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈thank you smilerzzzzz ❤
… followed by:
DONT STOP WATCHING WRECKING BALL WE HAVE 9 Hours More we can get the Views Higher! #WreckedTheRecord 💋❤🎈
If you haven’t seen the video yet, it’s loaded with uncomfortable close-ups of Miley’s face, not so subtle visual sexual innuendos, loads of phallic symbolism, and licking hard steel.
Miley cries, swings naked on a wrecking ball, and attempts to writhe steamily in the destruction she has wrought.
“Wrecking Ball” is a must see. Fifteen million viewers can’t be wrong, right?
Next up for her hotness, an MTV documentary “Miley: The Movement,” which will follow Miley’s transition from the adorable Hannah Montana, to the twerking 2013 VMAs, and the production of her upcoming album “Bangerz.”
The one hour documentary “Miley: The Movement,” will be out on Oct. 1, with the album “Bangerz” coming out on Oct. 8.
Who's ready for #bangerz track list??? 💋
