Miley Cyrus pulled off an incredible Twitter prank over the weekend, having her fans take to newsstands to cover all display slots with copies of her new March issue of Cosmopolitan magazine cover. And capitalizing on her successful ruse, the 20 year-old fiancée of actor Liam Hemsworth stepped out in her L.A. neighborhood yesterday for cameras to capture her latest skimpy skin revealing outfit. The Daily Mail published the pictures which show Miley sporting denim shorts cut-off so short her butt cheeks can be seen hanging out.
“Lets play a game! All my fans go and put my @Cosmopolitan in front of all the magazines at the store!!!!!! Send me pics haha!”, Miley Cyrus tweeted to her more than 11 million followers on Thursday.
What followed was a team Miley fan rush of willing participants who did just that, and encouraged others to follow suit, according to E! News. “@TeamMileyNY everyone better do this! I'm not kidding!”, tweeted one inspired fan along with a pic of her work.
The former Disney superstar was busy retweeting followers that showed off their Cosmo-stand covered photos. Later she wrote, “Love these pics! Can't wait till Cosmo is everywhere! Keeping putting my issue front and center bitchessss!!!!”.
The “Hannah Montana” star is pictured braless on the cover, with just an open sport jacket struggling to cover her breasts. The singer and actress continues to try to move away from her former Disney star image both with her acting and singing.
Miley Cyrus is back in the studio working on her fourth album, which she views as her freshman effort since she is finally able to work without Disney looking over her shoulder.
Miley has famously struggled to cast off her “Hannah” days, most notably by chopping off her long auburn hair and opting for an edgy, spiky bleach blonde hairdo.
On Monday Cyrus cavorted around her L.A. neighborhood in barely-there short shorts and a cropped midriff showing top along with a huge smile on her face. Check out more photos by clicking here.
Miley is clearly reveling in her punked out look these days, and seems to have kissed those teeny-bopper years goodbye for good. Miley explained her headline making hairstyle change to Mizz in December.
When asked if she expected a backlash from her chopping off her long locks, she said, “I knew there would be one, ’cause from the beginning of time, any woman considered hot has had long hair.
“Also, I feel like people can look at me and know me better and get a sense of who I am, rather than when I had my long hair. I didn’t represent who I was in any way”, she went on to say.
