For years she was the golden girl of the Disney Channel, Hannah Montana.
With her pretty face, sweet disposition, she was the girl next door, the tween you wanted your girls to look up to, until Hannah Montana decided she wanted to be more than a Mickey Mouse idol.
Miley Cyrus started drinking, there were rumors of her smoking pot, she started wearing sexy clothes and doing dance moves that were made for a strip club instead of a teen concert.
Now Miley, 20, is proving that she likes the bolder, edgier, sexy look compared to the plain Jane she used to be.
Posing with a jacket and pants and obviously bra-less, Miley is on the cover of the March 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan and is ready to share with the world that she is who she is and has no regrets about it.
In the issue Miley talks about anything and everything, especially her fiance, Liam Hemsworth, and their relationship that she says is number one in her life because;
"That's what I feel the most confident in,"
Cosmo asked her to rate her life and the things she feels most satisfied with, and Liam was at the top
He ranked over family, music, and acting as well because even with her making a new album, she says;
" there's so much hype behind my new record, but it could come out and, worst-case scenario, everyone f**king hates it."
With Liam, she knows they are solid, and nothing can change that.
Miley also has no regrets over the countless number of issues she has dealt with in a short amount of time.
From Pop princess to the edgy, risque', young woman who shocked her fans with her barely there outfits, crazy new do, stoner scandal, and her quick engagement, Miley believes that they all happened for a reason and have made her a better person.
"Some of the worst things that have happened in my career, like things getting leaked, have actually been what's best for me, because people knew when I was on [‘Hannah Montana’] that I was really growing up,I never faked anything. I never played the Disney game of smiling and being a princess and then suddenly having a hard time, saying, ‘That isn't who I really am."
Miley just hopes that people, and her fans accept her for who she is, regardless of her Disney Channel, wholesome girl history, and if they do not, well she really does not care.
Miley is in the middle of getting her fourth album released, consisting of hip-hop and metal and featuring Tyler the Creator and Mary J. Blige, this album is not the Miley we are all used to.
She is also planning her wedding to Liam and says that they plan on a low-key wedding, nothing as glamorous and outrageous as people think;
“I feel the bigger the wedding, the more it becomes a target for people to ruin, So we just want it to be small, with the people who we’d take bullets for. I don’t want to be looking at those photos and see people that I wish hadn’t been there. C’mon, I can’t even get coffee without a million paparazzi following me, so I don’t know why anyone thinks I’m going to have this huge, extravagant wedding. That is so not who I am."
Love her or hate her, Miley is Miley, and she is happy with that, and to her, that is all that matters.
