Miley Cyrus opened up about her recent breakup with Liam Hemsworth on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” Friday, Oct. 11. The L.A. Times reported that the “Wrecking Ball” singer confessed that she is handling the end of her relationship well, and this “chapter is done” in her life.
Cyrus talked about how she deals with the intense media attention in the aftermath of the end of her engagement to Hemsworth.
… I think people spend more time actually thinking about it than I really do. I just believe when a chapter is done you have to close it and start that new one, and that's kind of where I am right now. I felt like I have so much to be thankful for at this time that my energy hasn't really been focused on that," Miley confided to Ellen.
Miley Cyrus dropped a bombshell, revealing that she does not read any of the things written about her on the internet. She believes that her fans concentrate on her music and not on the latest tabloids.
… I don't really look up anything, so maybe they haven't been showing respect … I felt like people have really focused on my music right now when I've needed them and have actually been really good about that. Because that's the only thing I worried about, was I didn't want it to make me to sacrifice what I've been working for … ”
Miley caused a stir in August when she shocked audiences with “twerking” on Robin Thicke at the 2013 VMAs. Every few days, there is a new report concerning the former “Hannah Montanna” star's sexualized antics.
Miley Cyrus squashed any rumors that she is dating anyone new at the moment and stated she is content with her life.
… I really haven't gotten to see anyone right now. 'Cause I've been like so crazy busy. I'm just letting that chapter kind of close, and just looking forward to that new one ... I really am genuinely happy finally with myself, which I think sometimes it takes you separating yourself from someone else to really be happy with who you are."
