Miley Cyrus on SNL: Singer was both host and musical guest on comedy skit show (Video)

According to USA Today during her monologue on Saturday Night Live last night, Miley Cyrus bluntly said that she wouldn't be doing a sketch with the Disney role that began her career.

"Now that white people are doing it, it seems kind of lame," Cyrus said during an monologue that addressed her performance on the MTV Video Music Awards and the fate of Hannah Montana ("She was murdered").

She may not have twerked, but the "We Can't Stop" singer did joke that she got phone calls after her provocative VMA performance from both "angry mothers" and "turned on fathers."

Later, the show satirized Cyrus' hugely popular "We Can't Stop" video. Switching the title to "We Did Stop," Cyrus played a sexed-up Michele Bachmann, as cast member Taran Killem impersonated John Boehner, depicting both politicians as the grinding, drug-taking cast of the hit video, gloating over bringing the government to a halt.

Musically, the star offered a vocally shaky take on her smash “Wrecking Ball," and a floridly earnest version of "We Don't Stop," accompanied by three acoustic guitars.

Cyrus kept the commentary and controversy out of her two musical performances. She dressed much more conservatively for her powerhouse performance of Wrecking Ball than she did in her music video, wearing a sheer sports jersey that revealed a black two-piece when backlit. She switched into a white outfit — though still with see-through elements — for a poignant version of We Can't Stop, accompanied by three acoustic guitars.
