Miley Cyrus proved two things during her performance last night at the MTV awards show. The girl has no class and is incapable of acting sexy. Parents might be considered neglectful just for allowing their young teens to watch such debauchery.
Cyrus used a large foam hand as a prop in her routine, making vulgar gestures with it throughout her act. Someone watching her perform for the first time would have thought Cyrus was trying out for a part in a movie for a spastic character with diminished mental capacity who thought acting sexy meant being trashy.
While no one has considered her a role model for young girls in several years, Cyrus appears to be trying to self-destruct. Watchers can only guess at the demons that eat away at the mind and soul of this young woman. Cyrus is acting out in much the same way as someone who was sexually abused as a child. This may not be her case, but she definitely acts the part.
While she has a good singing voice, Cyrus is driving her career into the toilet with her raunchy gyrations, tongue-hanging-out-of-the-mouth-suggestive behavior and her inability to see the caricature she has become.
Cyrus is very unhealthy for young teens. Girls need role-models and heroes with dignity, character, leadership skills, morality and manners. The lack of values Cyrus exhibits will only drag under the character of young teens who attempt to imitate her.
Parents should be forewarned that Cyrus is too confused to lead the way of young teens. In fact, it would do Cyrus good to be around decent boys and girls with a little self-respect, for a change. One other thing Cyrus should know: people whose tongues dangle outside the mouth to one side usually have some type of brain damage.
