Former child star Miley Cyrus continues to deny the rumors of a split with sexy fiance Liam Hemsworth. In a report on March 15, in USA Today, an excerpt of the singer's public explanation or excuse for her missing engagement ring is revealed.
Cyrus appears to be fighting a battle with the media who have reportedly gained information and insight through sources close to the singer, that she has split with "Hunger Games" star Liam Hemsworth.
Hemsworth has yet to speak publicly about his relationship status with Cyrus. Yet Cyrus continues to address the revealed details of her split.
Cyrus' backup singer Lindsey Lee, sent Cyrus a message on the very public Twitter social media forum. In the tweet Cyrus' backup singer and no doubt friend, mentions that she (Lee) had a small diamond fall out of "her" engagement ring.
Cyrus replied that a similar problem with her own engagement ring occurred. She immediately and intentionally tried to connect her friend's engagement ring repair story as the same reason why Cyrus' own engagement ring was not worn when last seen in public, without her engagement ring.
The tweet reads as "too coincidental" for both the singer and backup singer to have the same engagement ring issues at the same time.
To some the tweeted explanation may appear to be publicly staged to help combat the singers break-up news.
USA Today releases the excerpt. Lee wrote, "had to send off my engagement ring today to get fixed… one of the little diamonds fell out… I feel naked without it :( so sad!"
Miley replied, "ugh that's the worst! I just had a similar situation except when it happens to me then everyone says my wedding is off."
Lee replies, "OMG that sucks! people just need to mind their own business," Lee wrote back. "I saw first hand how happy u & Liam are don't let them get to u!"
