Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are reportedly going through some growing pains, as the couple now has an ocean between them, and Miley’s been spotted out in public without her engagement ring. Cyrus, 20, denies rumors the two have called off their engagement, but multiple media outlets are saying Liam flew to his Australian homeland so the they, “could have a break”, as reported by People yesterday. Meanwhile, 23 year-old Hemsworth is said to be down under “indefinitely”, as his itinerary apparently has no return date to the states. Rumors Liam cheated with 35 year-old “Mad Men” star January Jones are being floated as one possible cause of the strife between the pair, but the other one is that Miley’s recent physical transformation, including her drastic haircut, is the real reason.
Liam was seen hanging out with January Jones at the Chateau Marmont after the Oscars, where sources tell Radar Online, “they even kissed”.
The two allegedly left the party together in the same car and headed to a private house party. January and Liam were “openly making out” at the party, the source added.
Many thought it was odd that the supposedly happily engaged couple would spend one of the biggest nights in Hollywood at separate events in the first place.
Miley went solo to the Mario Testino shindig, before taking her mother Tish to the Elton John AIDS Foundation gala in West Hollywood on Oscar night.

However, one source says this bump in their relationship started when Miley took the extreme measure of chopping all her hair off. They claim her new bleached out coif and wild clothes are also not helping the pair.
“Liam fell in love with how free spirited she is, but now he’s struggling to understand this transformation”, the insider said. Many were shocked when the former Disney star shed her emerging young beauty look for her new edgy appearance.
Multiple sources told Us Weekly that Cyrus and Hemsworth, who got engaged last June, have had major issues in their relationship that center on their career shedules and Cyrus' dramatic makeover. “He's not happy”, one friend said of Liam.
