Miley Cyrus claims she’ll be retiring her tongue.
The pop star is known for sticking out her tongue in photos and on stage. People are still talking about her MTV VMA performance from last month, full of twerking on Robin Thicke, grinding with teddy bears, foam finger movement and tongue wagging.
When Cyrus appeared on French TV show "Le Grand Journal," she revealed her boredom with her trademark tongue pose look.
“That’s getting a little old,” Cyrus said. “I’m going to have to retire it and then come up with something else.”
Despite the length of her tongue, she revealed a few things she would like to do with her tongue, but can’t.
‘'For as long as it is, you would think that I could touch my nose,” she said. “I can't, I'm so close. I wish I had more control of it, I can't do any tricks, no four leaf clover, nothing.''
Cyrus’ image has changed drastically since her days as a Disney star on "Hannah Montana," but she doesn’t apologize for her provocative image.
"I just think if you make the choice to do something in front of the world, there's no going back and apologizing now,” she said.
"I already did it, there's no going backwards. I do everything I do for a reason. My mom is very proud of me."
Cyrus wanted her VMA performance to be remembered.
"I wanted to make history which I think we did over the last two weeks,” she said. “I think all that matters is having good intentions. [The VMA performance] did do well online, everyone in the world is thinking what am I going to do next.”
