On Saturday evening, Miley Cyrus ruled the airwaves with her excellent Saturday Night Live performance, both as an actress and singer. Perhaps her most funny performance was the opening one, in which young Miley meets old Miley. It is basically a middle finger to all of those who made too much of a fuss out of her MTV VMA performance.
The best part of the night came when Miley performed her number one single "Wrecking Ball." Anybody who says Miley can't sing really needs to watch the clip. She sang it with heart and emotion -- stuff you usually don't hear from today's pop singers.
Miley has experienced quite the backlash since her sexualized performance of "We Can't Stop" at the MTV VMAs last August. Despite the controversy, Miley has surpassed both Lady Gaga and Katy Perry in record sales. Her album Bangerz is expected to be a huge hit. No wonder why Sinead O'Connor is jealous; Miley has surpassed her in record sales and her career is only at the beginning. Congratulations, Miley! But we still want to see you twerk, even if White people made it uncool.
