According to the Aug. 30, New York Daily News, Miley Cyrus’ (aka sweet and innocent Hannah Montana) controversial and sexually suggestive performance at the VMAs “couldn’t have gone better,” says Cyrus’ manager Larry Rudolph.
But from the uproar she caused among her Disney channel's “Hannah Montana” fan base it appeared that she was using the wrong finger as a prop. Cyrus should have waved a foam middle finger.
Justin Timberlake defended her saying Miley’s young, “She’s growing up,” and looking at past performances at the VMA’s, citing Britney Spears, Christine Aguilera, and Madonna, “What did you expect?” he said.
But the Parent's Television Council doesn’t agree with Timberlake’s assessment of the pop singer’s raunchy performance calling it “unacceptable.” The PTC said in a statement, “How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14-year-olds?”
BTW Ms. Cyrus… you had the foam finger on the wrong hand. It’s a lefty!
