Miley Cyrus released her newest music video of "Wrecking Ball" on Sept. 9, shocking fans and enemies alike with her nudity, reported E! News. The video depicts Cyrus belting out her new in tune with tears in her eyes, licking a sledgehammer, and riding a wrecking ball completely naked.
Miley seems to want to keep herself in the news with her constant demand of attention. While the most private parts of her body are cleverly concealed by camera tricks, Cyrus gyrated on basically every smashed rock on the construction site inspired set. This may be her most controversial video to date.
Cyrus tweeted when her video was released, "Lets beat the vevo record & ill release my track list for #bangerz." Does this hint at her true motive in showing all this skin? Miley may have adopted the age old saying of "sex sells" that countless other pop stars have used to further their careers.
"Wrecking Ball" was directed by photographer Terry Richardson, who in 2010, was accused of inappropriately touching and requesting sex from his models, reported the LA Times. Rie Rasmussen, a former Victoria Secret model, confessed to the New York Post, "He takes girls who are young, manipulates them to take their clothes off and takes pictures of them they will be ashamed of ... I told him what you do is completely degrading to women."
