Celeb gossip report! On Jan. 2, 2013, Miley Cyrus took to Twitter to slam the paparazzi for chasing Justin Bieber. An overly zealous paparazzo died on New Years Day while in hot pursuit of the Bieb's Ferrari -- but the bigger story seems to be that the Disney princess is now getting flamed for comparing the pop music singer to British royalty.
The Superficial really took the well-intentioned young celebrity to task over her Twitter remarks. Clearly, her words angered their writer who pointed out the following details regarding Lady Diana Spencer's tragic death.
Regarding the celebrity death uproar caused by the "Hannah Montana" star's public statements, they wrote:
Just to bring everyone up to speed, a paparazzo died “chasing” Justin Bieber‘s Ferrari last night if chasing means ignoring the police who just pulled you over by walking into traffic for a better shot and getting struck by an oncoming vehicle like an idiot.
A situation that sounds almost exactly like the time Princess Di died except Justin Bieber’s still alive because he wasn’t even there and, as Answer Bitch points out, she was killed in a drunk driving accident because her driver was drunk.
So naturally all of this was lost on Miley Cyrus who tweeted the following...
"Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in ’13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn’t Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!"
According to the source, "In Miley’s defense, Justin Bieber does have soft, feminine features and I’m sure The Queen wouldn’t mind killing him, too. It’s an honest mistake."
The Celebrity Cafe further added, "Bieber issued a statement, sending his condolences to the photographer's family and noting that he hopes it will “finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders, and the photographers themselves."
However, they did not seem to find his remarks -- or hers -- offensive at all. To that end, the folks at the Superficial might have been better off focusing on someone like Lady Gaga -- a woman who has publicly claimed to be Lady Di reincarnated.
Hollywood culture. Now that's some funny stuff.
