Season four of Miley Cyrus's hit Disney series, "Hannah Montana," will be the show's last. Rumors of the show's curtain call have been swirling for about a year now, and on Friday (January 8), a rep for Disney confirmed the upcoming finale to MTV News.
The NY Post reports that production on the fourth season is set to begin Jan. 18 and end sometime this summer -- after Cyrus takes a short hiatus in April to promote her upcoming big-screen movie, "The Last Song."
The plot of the final season will reportedly mirror Miley’s own life, as her character must decided if she is going to leave her secret double life as a pop star in for the life of an everyday teen.
"You never know in this business ... but right now, we're scheduled to wrap after shooting this new batch of episodes," Disney Channel Worldwide programming exec Adam Bonnett said in a statement. "The [new] episodes will continue to roll out at least over a full year."
The show still averages nearly 5 million viewers a week.
