Miley Cyrus' dad Billy Ray Cyrus has his daughter's back these days regardless of what crazy stunts she pulls and claims that Mile's song "Wrecking Ball" would be a smash no matter what she was, or wasn't wearing according to Thursday, September 12 reports from Gossip Center.
But in Billy Ray Cyrus' case he is still her daddy and claims he will fully support Miley regardless of what other people may think about what she is doing in her life and career.
Miley , 20, has continued to make media headlines whether it be about her controversial 2013 VMA "twerking' performance, rebellious ways, wardrobe malfunctions, or most recently her lack of clothing on her newly released "Wrecking Ball" video where the former "Hannah Montana" star is completely naked.
Billy Ray Cyrus spoke with ET on Miley's new video stating:
"I’m a song man. A musician singer songwriter who loves all styles of music. But again … I come from the old school where it starts with an artist and a song … colliding if you will … in a moment where the song, the singer, the producer, the band and the listener become one.”
“It wouldn’t have mattered if Miley would have worn jeans and a flannel shirt … a Tux … or a nun’s habit. The song’s a smash … and her performance vocally on the tune reflects her roots and sheer God given talent,”he added.
Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" video which was released on Monday, broke the Vevo record for most views within 24 hours.
Miley responded to the backlash on her appearance in the new music video stating:
"I think the video is much more, if people get past the point that I'm naked and you actually look at me you can tell that I actually look more broken than even the song sounds. The song is a pop ballad. It's one of these songs that everyone is going to relate to, everyone has felt that feeling at one point.
Miley Cyrus will also be featured on a new MTV documentary "Miley Cyrus: The Movement," which debuts on Oct. 2, and on Oct. 5, she will both host and perform on "Saturday Night Live."
