Miley Cyrus confirmed Monday her engagement to Liam Hemsworth is over. Speculation hit fever pitch when she stopped following him on Twitter Saturday. Sources say Miley called the wedding off because she believed Liam was "less than faithful to her", according to E! News on Sept. 16. Cyrus, 20, and Hemsworth, 23, were together nearly four years, but an insider confirms he's in the process of moving out of her L.A. home today.
The pair were last spotted together on Aug. 8 at the Los Angeles red carpet premiere of Hemsworth's "Paranoia" film. Liam however, was noticeably absent at her controversial VMA performance later in the month.
Things came to a head this weekend, when the "Wrecking Ball" singer unfollowed her former fiancé on Twitter, according to the Daily News.
The couple met back in 2009, when they costarred together in "The Last Song". They briefly called things off in 2010 but later reconciled, announcing their engagement in May of last year.
Rumors swirled that Hemsworth was moritified by Cyrus' VMA twerking gig, and he was said to be even less happy with her just-out naked "Wrecking Ball" video.
But today, Miley's pointing the fingers at her "Hunger Games" hunk. She hinted at his less than faithful behavior going back to February.
That's when Liam was photographed getting cozy with "Mad Men" actress January Jones, 35, at a Chateau Marmont post-Oscar party in Hollywood.
Most recently, Hemsworth has been linked to Mexican actress and singer Eiza Gonzalez, who was allegedly all over him at the Floyd Mayweather fight over the weekend.
A rep for Jones vehemently denies the reports, but a source claims there was some sort of "inappropriate" relationship between her and Liam.
News of the young couple's breakup isn't really so shocking. For months the two have been leading basically separate lives, sometimes even on different continents.
