Miley Cyrus recently stunned viewers with her twerk-filled VMA performance of her single “We Can't Stop.” Now she's released the video for another single from her upcoming album “Bangerz,” and according to a September 9 tweet from the singer, the video for “Wrecking Ball” has broken a record on VEVO.
In the tweet Cyrus said:
“We broke the record :) We hit 12.3 million on vevo :) keep watching #wreckingballonvevo thank you Smilers.”
The L.A. Times reports that “Wrecking Ball” didn't stop there. In fact, the video racked up more than 19.3 million views in the first 24 hours.
This isn't the first VEVO record Cyrus has broken. In July her video for “We Can't Stop” set a new record when it hit 100 million views in 37 days. That record beat out Eminem, who previously reached 100 million views in 39 days.
