Miley Cyrus and her Australian actor boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, have broken up, his rep has confirmed.

The couple began dating last August on the set of their romantic movie The Last Song. The two had been reportedly very happy together and as recently as June, Miley had said that she and Liam were doing great.

"Just wanna clear up a rumor. Liam [Hemsworth] and I did not break. EVER! We are so happy and a lot of that has to do with the amazing relationship he has with my family." The singer wrote on her website.

However, their relationship started to go south just recently and while there are no details as to why the pair have gone their separate ways, the split is real and did take place this time.
