It’s been speculated for weeks now; since Liam Hemsworth was caught kissing January Jones, whether Miley Cyrus would leave. Now, on March 13, its official, according to Page Six of the New York Post. The fairy tale couple has split. On Feb. 27 reports surfaced that Hemsworth was having a make-out session with “Mad Men” star Jones in the back of a car at a pre-Oscar party. It didn't take long for the photos to surface. When Miley saw the photos of Jones and Hemsworth all cozy in the back of the SUV, she snapped a bared ring-finger on Twitter just to make him mad.
March 8, Hemsworth flew back home to Australia to spend time with his family. Rumors started to spread that this trip meant the pair were splitting. Cyrus’s rep told People magazine “Miley is still upset with Liam. She took the ring off to make him mad. It doesn't mean they are split." TMZ caught up with January and she didn't deny the affair and they caught it on film. By March 9, Miley was spotted without her engagement ring two nights in a row. Us Weekly reported that sources told them the on-again off-again relationship was definitely off.
Now multiple sources are telling Page Six the couple are officially split. Sources close to Hemsworth have told Page Six that Liam needed to get away from Hollywood for a while; spend some time with his brother, family and friends. Clear his head of all the drama. Another source adds, “Liam and Miley are done; it’s over.”
Miley is a party girl, she’s strong and likes to do things her way. While Liam’s soaking up the sun, Cyrus continues to try for her big comeback with her fourth studio album. Sources close to Team Miley tell Page Six that the pair is just going through another rough patch and she’s crazy about Liam. “She isn't ready to accept that it might be over for good, “the source says.
