Mark McCleod has been arrested again, accused of stalking Miley Cyrus.

As was reported recently, Disney security officers had warned the Los Angeles Police Department about 53 year-old Mark McCleod. He had been arrested for allegedly trying to contact Miley Cyrus, and was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstruction during a photo shoot, but then let go the following day. McCleod was warned to stay away from the teen superstar. By alerting police, Disney security offices wanted to give them a heads up so they could be prepared in the event the recently freed man tried to make contact with Miley Cyrus again.

The precautionary measure, it turns out, was well worth the effort.

According to NBC Augusta, Mark McCleod has been arrested again, charged with criminal attempt to commit stalking. It seems like, according to investigators, he was seen trying to watch Miley Cyrus film a movie in Tybee this past weekend.

In an article in the New York Daily News website it is stated that McCleod believed that Miley Cyrus was sending him "secret messages" through her Disney Channel show, Hannah Montana. Furthermore, he said that he is her "No. 1" fan, adding, "I've kinda been watching everything she does."

Apparently, the obsession began after he saw her in a concert in Orlando last year. "Our eyes met at her concert and we both knew," he reportedly said. He also told the police that he had "thousands of pictures and letters to Miley on his computer," and that he had mailed her diamond rings. According to the police report, "McLeod stated that Cyrus' responses came in the form of 'secret messages' on her television show directed only to him," and he said, "Nobody will ever be able to keep us apart," also claming that he and Miley Cyrus are "great friends."

In the cited article, more details point to the fact that McCleod has definitely lost touch with reality. He claimed that Cyrus accepted his marriage proposal, that they had her father, Billy Ray Cyrus' blessing, and that the only reason Miley was with Nick Jonas from The Jonas Brothers was press publicity.

There is no doubt security around Miley Cyrus will be reinforced now that the stalker alert seems to have become a real stalker problem. Sadly, the sixteen year-old pop star is having to deal with the uglier side of fame early on in her career.
