Miley Cyrus won’t be in Miami on New Year’s Eve. The entertainer was scheduled to be part of the festivities, but there was a change in plans and she is now heading to New York City. On Thursday the entertainer let her fans know she will be performing for Ryan Seacrest’s show Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014 taped in Times Square. The traditional show that ushers in the New Year is the biggest show of the night and to miss an opportunity like this would have been a career mistake.
“Smilers! There's been a change in my NYE plans. @RyanSeacrest asked me to perform in Times Square for #RockinEve!!” tweeted Miley Cyrus from her official Twitter account. She added how the change felt to her as it is a last minute decision. “I'm bummed I won't be in Miami.”
While the star might be disappointed in the decision, this means that millions of her fans around the world will be watching her on television instead of checking out what happened on YouTube. Plus, celebrating the New Year is best done in Times Square as millions of people come together to embrace the New Year.
So far no word on what Miley Cyrus will be doing, but there is no doubt ABC is going to be watching her closely as this is a family show on New Year's Eve.
