Miley Cyrus a bad teen role model since Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce

Miley Cyrus has been voted the worst celebrity role model for teenage girls.

In a recent survey conducted by AOL website, Just So You Know, approximately 100,000 girls between the ages of 9 and 15 chose Miley as the celebrity who as the worst influence on young girls. Miley received over 58 % of the votes.

Judging by her recent scandalous behavior, Miley Cyrus has gone out of her way to shed the squeaky clean “Hannah Montana image” on which she built her fame.

In an interview last year with TMZ, Tim Winter, president of the Parents Television Council, said, "Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fan base so rapidly."

Lately Miley’s clothing and her performances have become more seductive, and there are numerous reports of Miley doing some pretty wild things.

Her behavior has gotten progressively wilder since her parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce, amid rumors of infidelity.

Miley has been photographed smoking a bong containing a drug called salvia, making out in public with her new boyfriend, drinking alcohol while abroad even though she’s below the legal age, dancing provocatively in nightclubs, and more. This is the second year in a row that Miley Cyrus’ behavior has earned her the #1 spot on the list of bad role models for teenage girls.

Partying excessively, and looking drunk or high, showing evidence that she’s getting very little

Smoking salvia from a bong, during a wild party. (Salvia, though not illegal, is listed as a “drug of concern” by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency).
Being photographed in a compromising position in which a female assistant pretends to lick Miley’s breasts.

Other Celebrities who are Poor Role Models

Other celebrities on the list of top 10 worst role models for teenage girls include Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, Taylor Momsen, Chace Crawford, Shia LeBeouf, and Teen Mom Amber Portwood.

But Miley Cyrus was voted the worst celebrity role model of all.
