Mild but unsettled weather pattern to continue through the remainder of the week (Video)

High pressure now centered over the Mid Atlantic states will continue to move eastward today. A weak cold front will move west to east across the region today, accompanied by a few rain showers.

The clouds and showers associated with the cold front will exit to our east early this afternoon with skies becoming partly sunny later this afternoon. High temperatures today will be in the mid 40s.

Mostly clear to partly cloudy skies are expected for tonight with lows falling to the mid to upper 20s.

A developing storm system over the southern Plains today will move northward through the Mississippi Valley on Thursday. This system will spread deep moisture toward Pennsylvania during the day. This will cause clouds to increase with rain showers possible by evening. Highs on Thursday will reach the low 40s.

Thursday night and Friday, the Mississippi Valley storm will move northward into the Great Lakes. Rain will overspread the region Thursday night and continue through the day on Friday. Overnight lows Thursday night will fall to the mid 30s with afternoon highs on Friday climbing to the low 50s.

The showers will gradually end Friday night as the storm system moves northward away from the area. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and mild with afternoon highs reaching the mid 50s.
