Tuesday was the hottest day so far this year! It look until SEPTEMBER for that to happen, but for those fans of hot and humid weather you got your wish! After a disgusting low of 76 at Philadelphia International Airport it was a hot and humid day with the high reaching 93! If you thought that was hot it's been hotter for the second day of September; back in 1953 it hit the century mark! Ouch!
There was a cold front pushing on through after dark and providing showers and thunderstorms; overnight lows will be in the muggy 70s with showers and thunderstorms up until Midnight, but then we'll have gradual clearing. Wednesday will still be mild with highs in the middle 80s(the average high now should be 82, 83), but with a northwesterly wind it shall usher in drier air with dewpoints in the middle and upper 50s!
Thursday will also be in the in the middle 80s with continued sunshine, but a more easterly wind; come Friday a warm front will approach from the southwest so highs will reach the upper 80s by the afternoon with more humidity building as well. Saturday will be back in the lower 90s with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon as a cold front pushes in from the west; behind the front it will be unseasonably cool with highs just in the upper 70s on Sunday! We'll rebound back to the more seasonable lower 80s for the new work week on Monday.
That's it for now and remember that you can check out my 7-day forecast(as well as viewing the satellite and radar maps 24/7) at www.scottderekwx.com/forecast.html.
