This game is the start of round 13 of Serie A for this weekend. The result of this game left AC Milan in first place with 27 points and Genoa in 9th place with 15 points. However, teams like Juventus with 26 points and Udinese with 24 points still have to play their 13th game of the season during this weekend and could possibly ruin Milan’s lead.

The result of the game was perfectly just. Milan controlled the game even before Genoa got a red card in the early part of the second half. Milan had a 73% possession compared and outshot their adversary by ten shots—18 for Milan and 8 for Genoa.

The goals came in the second half. The first was scored with a penalty by Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was fouled in the box at the 54 minute of the game by Georgian player Kakha Kaladze.

Kaladze had received a yellow earlier in the game, so the foul committed in the box against Zlatan caused him his second and was sent out.

The second goal came at the 79th minute when Milan was in complete control of the game by where Antonio Nocerino tapped the ball into the goal and making it the nail in the coffin.

This victory puts Milan at the top of the table. This victory will surely make other teams take back any thoughts that Milan was not capable of repeating the Scudetto. Milan is still in good form and is definitely a candidate to win it again.

The only other teams that are fighting are making a good statement to win the Scudetto this year are Juventus, Udinese, and Lazio. Yet again, the season is not close to being half way done.
