Life is imitating art for the couple who starred together on the Fox hit TV comedy, “That 70’s Show”, paired romantically as "Jackie and Kelso". After two years of dating, Mila Kunis (Jackie) and Ashton Kutcher (Kelso) are now engaged to be married.
As US Weekly reports (Feb. 28), a source close to the couple reveals that the engagement ring is tasteful at approximately 5 to 6 carats. According to the source, Kutcher, 35, proposed to Kunis, 30, last month. This coincides with previous whispers about the "Two And A Half Men" actor being ready to pop the question to Kunis.
Kutcher and actress Demi Moore, 52, separated in 2011 after six years of marriage. Their divorce became final in November 2013 and rumors of future wedding bells for he and Kunis began to circulate. "Once the divorce was final he got it ready and proposed. He knew through most of the time he was trying to get the divorce over with he would propose as soon as it was over," the source tells Us Weekly.
Rumors suggesting that the two were dating began to surface back in 2012 when Kunis and Kutcher were spotted together on numerous occasions. “I am totally single…Listen, we hang out. We've known each other for 15 years. We have mutual friends. We're comfortable with one another. That's it! There's no crazy love story, nothing more," Kunis said to Elle magazine at the time.
As CNN points out, the friendship between Kunis and Kutcher apparently blossomed into love over time. That same year the pair were rumored to have spent vacation time in Bali and were spotted sharing a kiss in New York City’s Central Park. The couple was also seen cozying up to each other at a wrap party for Kutcher’s Steve Jobs biopic “Jobs”.
In January, Kunis and Kutcher were caught on the “Kiss Cam” while sitting courtside at an L.A. Lakers game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. While among thousands of basketball fans, the two shared a PDA moment, holding hands and blocking their kiss behind Kutcher’s hat.
For “That 70’s Show” fans who witnessed the on-screen chemistry between their TV characters, news about the real life couple’s engagement is a fan fantasy come true.
Many took to Twitter to express their feelings about the newly engaged couple. “Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher are engaged, which means Jackie and Kelso ended up together, life is magical, and unicorns are most likely real,” tweeted @BOYDmeetsworld3.“Can we all just take a minute to admire how adorable it is that Jackie and Kelso are getting married,” @brunetteprbz_ tweeted. “The fact that they're getting married just makes me so happy.
