Mike Tyson has maintained that he is sober time and time again over the years. However, now it appears the boxer has been lying. In fact, this world famous fighter recently maintained that he is in the process of dying from alcohol and drug abuse, according to a British source on Aug. 25.
On Sunday, Mail Online reports that there's been a whole lot of lying going on concerning the former heavyweight champion and his affinity for illegal substances as well as substances that aren't good for him. In fact, Mike Tyson goes so far as to call himself "a vicious alcoholic."
The 47-year-old Tyson, who has been to rehab three times, held a press conference on Friday, stating,
"I've been lying to everybody else that think I was sober, but I'm not. This is my sixth day [of sobriety]. I'm never gonna use again."
Hopefully, Mike Tyson, who was inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame this month, will remain sober now that the champion has confessed he had been lying about laying off the sauce and other substances for a long, long time.
