In an interview Friday for our new Monkees Examiner column, Michael Nesmith said he was pleased with the recent Monkees tour and it won't be the last time the three Monkees will work together.
“Yes, we will tour again I am sure,” he told us. “It was great fun and the show was great. M & P are good guys, talented and fun to work with."
Nesmith will begin his own solo tour near the end of the month. And he says it could be just the beginning.
“I have to earn the confidence of the promoters and the respect of the audience having been away for so long. But if I can pass the test, then I will go out again. I have enough offers to do a Fall tour now, but I will wait to put that together until I see how this tour goes and whether it delivers what we all hope. If the audience loves watching it as much as I am loving the performance of it then I have no reason to stop doing it for a few more tours.”
