Another day another injury for the Boston Red Sox. This time the injury bug hit first baseman Mike Napoli as he was sliding head first into second base on Tuesday night. Napoli dislocated the ring finger on his left hand and is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's tilt against the Chicago White Sox. Daniel Nava will take Napoli's spot at first base.

It is still unclear how much time Napoli will have to miss, but it appears unlikely that he will have to go on the disabled list.

Just when things were starting to look up for the Red Sox on the injury front another player goes down. Dustin Pedroia will lead off on Wednesday after missing two games with wrist soreness and Shane Victorino is likely to start a rehab assignment this week.

Clay Buchholz will take the mound for Boston on Wednesday versus veteran left-hander John Danks.
