In 2005 when Bassmaster was there anglers reported the river had come a long way and the city’s industry had cleaned up their act therefore allowing the river and the fish to run through it.

Day three for Skeet Reese Auburn, California fished 13-5, his total weight 27-8, and Carhartt Big Bass 4-6. Skeet is in third place with 551 542 points for Angler of the Year.
Bassmaster Classic 2012 winner Chris Lane Guntersville, Alabama 9-7 and 27-0 in eighth place. Chis is in eleventh place for Angler of the Year with 511 points. Chad Pipkens Holt, Michigan 8-0 and 26-6. And tied with Pipkens for tenth place Byron Velvick Boulder City, Nevada at one time “The Bachelor” 8-2 and 26-6.
In Eleventh place is John Crews 3-9 and 25-4 from Salem, Virginia. And in the twelfth seat is Boyd Duckett Demopolis, Alabama with 1-12 and 25-1.
