On last night’s “Last Comic Standing,” Mike Gaffney was chosen as one of the 28 comedians in the fourth invitational round of the comedic competition. Born in Jersey City, and now residing in Maywood, he is a Jersey guy through and through.
Mike Gaffney is a single parent with full-custody of his two children, so he surely could use the grand prize of $250,000, and an NBC development deal that could bet the start of something very big.
Mike told funny stories about his teenage daughter who uses the same enthusiasm when seeing a murder as she does when she cannot find her cell phone charger. On the other hand, his son came home with one broken flip flop and threw one in the garbage, and put the other back in his gym bag. Check out the video of Mike with his daughter Samantha and son Mike here.
Mike has done full-time comedy since 2009, and if you check his website, Mike Gaffney from the genius mind of a complete moron, you will see what Mike is all about. Check out his podcasts and listen to this funny guy.
Check out his calendar, he regularly appears in Atlantic City, New York City clubs, and up and down the Eastern Seaboard. Check out his Facebook page and don’t forget to watch and root for him on “Last Comic Standing.” Next week, mentors Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer will be coaching the comedians in the first of two semi-final rounds. The host is comedian and actor JB Smoove, with judges, Russell Peters, Roseanne Barr and Keenan Ivory Wayans.
Congratulations, Mike! New Jersey will be rooting for you to go all the way, and fans cannot wait to hear when they call you the “Last Comic Standing.”
