With 14 days left to go, the crowdfunded spiritual successor to “Mega Man” has outperformed its original Kickstarter goal by 245 percent. Following the accomplished console goal, four known stretch goals for the “Mighty No. 9” Kickstarter remain: challenge mode at $2,400,000; extra end stage and boss at $2,550,000; Beck and Call online Co-Op challenge mode at $2,750,000; and lastly, an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of the game at $3,300,000. It was previously reported that a next-gen version of the “Mighty No. 9” wouldn't happen, due to the developers unfamiliarity with the new hardware. However, with fan interaction playing a key role in developing the “Mighty No. 9,” a next-gen stretch goal was added out of strong demand.
The last day to pledge for the “Mighty No. 9” Kickstarter will be October 1st. In addition to the game coming out for current consoles, a PC version through Steam and DRM-free digital distributions will also be available.
