Mighty Irish Festival at Downtown Disney, part 2: Enjoy a lively street party

See also

Raglan Road at Downtown Disney is the epicenter of the Mighty Irish Festival, which runs now through March 17 (jump here for a slideshow of the fun), but the restaurant and pub isn't the only place where you can celebrate. Plan to spend the day and enjoy other holiday activities scattered around the Downtown Disney area.

The festivities kick off each evening at 5 p.m. through March 14, when they move to a noon start time through the 17th. It's a street party atmosphere, with cute games for the kids, an Ireland travel kiosk where you can register to win a trip, green beads, music, dancing, food trucks with special St. Patrick's Day and Muppet-themed treats, Muppet character drawing classes, stilt walkers, and more. Many of the regular food kiosks will feature special holiday-themed items.

If you enjoy picking up passports for the Epcot festivals, you'll love the Mighty Festival Passport that you can get stamped at various spots all around Downtown Disney, including shops, kiosks, and restaurants. See how many stamps you can collect in a day's visit.

Check out the slideshow accompanying this article for a quick overview of the street party fun. It's appropriate for all ages, although you might want to tuck the kids into bed if you plan to party until the 1 a.m. end time.
