Midwest Antiques Forum draws experts to Cincinnati area

May 4th, 5th, and 6th will bring a gathering of experts and enthusiasts to the Hebron, Kentucky Marriott for a weekend of distinguished speakers examining the impact of Midwestern styles and manufacture on the material culture of the United States.

Wes Cowan will discuss sandbottles; Ian Simmonds will give a talk on Midwestern contributions to the development of American glass industry and Ellice Ronsheim explores painting in the Midwest, among others.

This is a great opportunity to explore the history, commerce, art and industry of the heart of the country.

Even if one cannot attend, it is nice to know that the Midwest merits serious study and that collectors of important antiques recognize the value of objects produced in this diverse crossroads of our continent.
