Atlanta is booming with big business everywhere. However when it comes to the fashion industry, what's in, isn't necessarily "big." So, the best places to shop here in Atlanta, for all your wardrobe and accessory needs are as follows:

Multi stranded beaded necklaces with floral baubles are so haute!
White House/Black Market

Atlantic Station: Just barely making the cut, for the midtown district range, this mega fashion-retail-business district, is perfect for the casual shopper, the serious shopper, and shopaholic! Filled with many household fashion names, such as GAP, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Nine West, Express and major department store Dillard's. All of these stores feature the hats, scarves, socks, and jewelry that we all know, need and love. However if you are looking for unique items outside of the "crewcut" box, here are a few suggestions:

K-La, features up and coming designers Collective Clothing, Lu Luvia and Bailey 24, in addition to it's wide assortment of designer denim, which includes Citizens of Humanity, Hudson, Rock and Republic. K-La has now expanded to include, a Phipps Plaza location, that is much smaller in inventory and square footage, but places a bigger focus on accessories, sunglasses, handbags, scarves, sunglasses and jewelry. Currently there is a 30-70% off sale on all winter inventory! Definitely take advantage of this sale, items become sparse as the weeks go by, so get it before it's gone.

Also Taste, the couture, "cool kid" boutique owned and operated by none other than Ohio's young rapper Bow Wow's mom Teresa Caldwell. This boutique features an array of couture, ranging from Christian Audigier tees and caps, as well as newcomer Signorelli by OmniPeace. The ladies jewelry selection is great, featuring earrings, bracelets, necklaces, cuffs, studded belts, which by the way is the "new waist jewelry" and so much more.

White House/Black Market: Michelle Obama gave this store a very necessary third quarter boost in sales last year, when she chose to wear and $80 dress from it's fall line. White House/Black Market is a unique store, in which nearly all of the items in the store are black or white. Even the silk scarves, which are lovely, and are appropriate for every single season. The jewelry is designed according the current seasons themes, whether is be mod-squad rectangular silver hoops, or the most glamorous, bejeweled cocktail rings in Atlanta. It's here at White House/Black Market.

As always, shop uniquely. Shop defensively.
