Midtown OKC continues to sit on ideas that consistently hatch into life experiences worth gravitating to.
H&8th http://h8thokc.com/#map invaded a pleasantly cosmopolitan little jag of North Hudson and made it jump a little higher this Summer.
North Hudson is inhabited by Elemental Coffee, Scissortale (Salon), Ludivine (Dining/Full Bar) and Cadence Yoga.... and the more recent newcomer who gravitated to the feel of this NYC sidestreet district..... Dr. Ed Shadid's Mayoral 2014 Campaign Office....those are some decent neighbors. .... And BTW this little jag has a spectacular "neighborhood" view of downtown OKC, and they hatched a street fest... which upon repeat became a big and now and ongoingly bigger deal. With attentions from the neighbors above and THESPYFM and Fowler, it is pretty much full on for a progressive hit. Look also for the behind the scenes unique green hallmarks .... such as the bicycle valet and reduced waste feature.
Currently, once a month, H&8th evolves into a food truck haven. http://h8thokc.com/#food Food trucks, being the end all be all trend of the moment on the food scene in many larger cities across the USA.
But wait! There's more!
While all that noshing is going on, there's a lawn to sprawl on with the kids, and varied live music.http://h8thokc.com/#music Here is the schedule for August 30th.
Below are links that let you sample the works of these local musicians who will be featured on the 8th Street sound stage. This is an all ages, free event.
Ludivine has the environment indoors to provide ongoing entertainment, so after the outdoor festivities subside for the evening you can, (sans kids) shut the town down with THESPYFM inside Ludivine. The late booked dDJ's are https://twitter.com/mrbeaubrady and http://katiewicks.com.
Oklahoma City continues to evolve a satisfying variety of venues for live entertainment and community interface, a continued invitation to stabilizing growth for Intown life.
