Midtown MARTA station nightlife

If you are looking to go out in Atlanta, the Midtown MARTA station is the top spot for easy access to a variety of nightlife venues and special events, including the notorious Atlanta Santa Pub Crawl. The venues below are an easy walk from the station -- remember that trains stop running at 1 a.m., so plan your late-night fun accordingly.

Crescent Avenue
A majority of the nightlife venues are situated on Crescent Avenue just over a block from the station. From the main station exit, follow the signs to 10th Street and turn right on 10th. Walk to Peachtree Street and turn left, then left again on 11th Street and a quick right on Crescent Avenue. Choose from:

  • Ri Ra (live music, DJs, karaoke, special events)
  • Sutra Lounge
  • CosmoLava (just off Crescent on 12th Street)
  • Opera (nightclub)
  • Koo Koo Room (lounge)
  • Flip Flops (bar)
  • Front Page News (restaurant and bar)

Peachtree Street North
Famous Peachtree Street offers a few venues as well. Take the 10th Street exit out of the station and turn right on 10th and then left on Peachtree Street for:

  • Reign (nightclub)
  • Cafe Intermezzo (desserts, bar, cafe)
  • STK (bar, restaurant)
  • Lowes Hotel bar (just off Peachtree on 12th Street)

Peachtree Street South
Take the Peachtree Place exit out of the station and turn left on Peachtree Place, then right on Peachtree Street for:

  • Taco Mac (sports bar)
  • Hudson Grille (sports bar)
  • Bulldogs (gay bar)
  • Vortex Bar and Grill
  • Laughing Skull Lounge (comedy club)

10th Street and Piedmont
Further away from the station you'll find more specific types of nightlife venues, including a jazz cafe and a two gay bars that overlook the street scene. Several restaurants also provide some additional spots to relax or have a drink. Take the main exit out of the station and turn right on 10th Street and walk just over two blocks for:

  • Kat's Cafe (jazz club - turn right on Piedmont)
  • Gilbert's Mediterranean Cafe (gay friendly)
  • Blake's on the Park (gay friendly)

West Peachtree Street
On the other side of the station are a few more spots to check out. Take the Peachtree Place exit out of the station and turn right, then left on West Peachtree for:

  • Steel (restaurant and bar)
  • Marlow's Tavern (restaurant and bar)
  • Prickly Pear Taqueria (restaurant and bar)
  • Daiquiri Factory (bar)
  • Rooftop 866 (rooftop bar and lounge at the Renaissance Hotel)

Or take the 10th Street exit out of the station and turn left on 10th and right on West Peachtree Street for:

  • Steamhouse Lounge (restaurant and bar)
  • Charlie G's 11th Street Pub
