Midnight car cruise in Branson on Saturday, August 13

If you love car shows, this is the week to visit Branson. Super Summer Cruise is a three-day event that starts tomorrow, August 11 and culminates with the 2011 Midnight Cruise on Saturday, August 13.

Thousands of car enthusiasts are expected to check out the more than 600 cars on display at the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. Saturday night's Super Summer Cruise route begins at the corner of Hwy 76 & Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, continues on Shepherd of the Hills Expressway and ends at Roark Valley Road.

Billed as “the largest event of the summer,” the show draws people from around the country. If you want a seat to watch the midnight cruise, plan to park your lawn chair along the Shepherd of the Hills Expressway route early Saturday. Hotels along the route are filled but it never hurts to check for last-minute cancellations.

For more information, check out the event's website at www.supersummercruise.com or the Shepherd of the Hills at www.oldmatt.com.
