About Chef Sammy Davis:
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Sammy J. Davis spent twelve years working for various independent restaurants and corporate chains. He has performed every duty in the restaurant hierarchy from dishwasher to general manager. Chef Davis began his career in New York in 1993, working at such notable restaurants as Nobu NY, Roy's Atlanta, Silk Atlanta, Citrus NY and consulting for restaurants such as Teverna Plaka Atlanta and Waterhouse Cleveland Atlanta.
Chef Davis has worked as a personal chef for many notable entertainers and athletes around the country such as Terrell Owens, Janet Jackson, Sean Combs, Jermaine Dupree, Kelly Price, and Nelly. He has received numerous accolades including a 2006 "Creative Loafing" award for best appetizers.
Chef Davis has also been featured on several television programs, including a feature on Good Day Atlanta and most recently on Chopped. Additionally, he is the founder of the acclaimed program "Kids Who Love To Cook", a non-profit program he started to help educate underprivileged kids in the inner city.
