Mid-week cognac tasting

Thursday, Atlanta’s official first day of the weekend, has quite a few choices for the club scene this week. But our pick happens to be the Gideon Group/Jacob York party at Vanquish Lounge, 1029 Peachtree Street, NE. This official tasting for the new D’usse Cognac is not to be missed. Doors open at 10pm, and one of our favorite DJs, DJ Clue is taking a break from 105.1 in New York to DJ the event.
For this special cognac tasting, an exceptional ensemble is definitely in order. This whole affair screams upscale, so we can pull out all the stops. Consider Louboutin, stretch leather, Michael Kors, taffeta, and Shoshanna would all be appropriate.
We all know how important accessories are, and for Spring we are putting away our big bags once and again and carrying clutches, and new this Spring – wristlets. These mini clutches hold our bare necessities including keys, cell, and lipstick. The better wristlets have its own mirror, so that’s one less thing we’ll have to worry about fitting inside the wristlet.
Another new accessory to try is the skinny belt for Spring. In fact, remember the double belts from the 80s? Well, they are back again. Diane Von Furstenberg has put a particularly modern flair on the 80s double belt. She’s added studs and called it a wrap belt. Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada, Calvin Klein, and Vince Camuto also have skinny belts that are nicely subdued for Spring.
