Drink to help doggies! A Bar + Kitchen and Avenue Suites is hosting a quarterly doggie happy hour, the first of which will be on July 12th. There will be treats for humans and doggies, specifically cocktails like The Hound's Tooth, Cold Nose, Warm Heart and The Red Baron (Snoopy's alter-ego), and dog cookies for our four-legged friends. The series will kick off in support of the Beagle Freedom Project (BFP), an organization dedicated to rescuing beagles from laboratories and testing facilities. This sounds like the best happy hour of the summer!

Chaplin Restaurant & Bar to Open: Mixologists and brothers Ari and Micah Wilder will be opening this new 20’s themed venue this month, complete with Asian dishes and fabulous cocktails.

Newly Opened Tico Starts Happy Hour: From Monday to Friday between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. enjoy $5 small plates such as fries, spicy olives, a shredded cabbage salad, and a Spanish tortilla with piquillo pepper aioli. Drink deals include $5 beers and wines, and 4 $6 cocktails including a margarita and caipirinha.

New Tea-Infused Cocktails at Blue Duck Tavern: Four new cocktails made with teas from the rare Tea Cellar at Park Hyatt Washington, are also being introduced at brunch. Priced at $12 each, the drinks are the Morning Dew, made with Cherry Blossom Green Tea, tequila, Cointreau, agave, and lime; the Sweet Tea, a concoction of Earl Grey infused vodka, sugar, lemon, and soda water; the Sparkling Mojito, a medley of Mint Meritage, house made ginger syrup, and Prosecco; and finally the Rum Rooibos, with Fields of France Rooibos, infused cream, spiced rum, and white chocolate liqueur.

$39 Four-Course Tomato-Centric Menus at 701 Restaurant, Ardeo/Bardeo, nopa Kitchen + Bar, and Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca: Dishes range from fried green tomatoes at 701, watermelon and tomato gazpacho at Ardeo/Bardeo to a tomato tarlet at nopa and green tomato carpaccio at Bibiana. This deal will run until August 9th.
