Microsoft’s new Outlook commercial endorses gay marriage

Microsoft just released a new ad for the Outlook app feature. In the ad, it shows a lesbian couple getting married. The lesbian couple gets about nine seconds in the 30-second placement. Microsoft’s new “Get up-to-date” commercial is not only promoting their new Outlook feature, but reminds society that the debate against gay marriage is outmoded.

Since 1989, Microsoft has been an advocate for the gay community. The corporation is reacting to gay marriage casually. They believe that it is no biggie and should be treated that way. In recent news, we also learned about Amazon’s new commercial featuring a gay couple.

The Amazon ad received mixed reviews on the Internet, however, the majority of it was positive. With advertisers speaking up for the LBGT community, it is showing a major movement and incredible advancement in today’s society. The Outlook ad was uploaded to YouTube on March 11, 2013. It has received over 75k views and many positive comments.

Deutsch NY is the agency that executed this ad for Microsoft. Check out the ad, and let us know what you think in the comment box below.
