The topic of controversy since the launch of the Xbox One has been resolution and frame rate. Most of the games are only running at 900p resolution, while the PlayStation 4 sees most of its content run at 1080p. While it was declared that the upcoming title Wolfenstein: The New Order will run at 1080p/60fps on the PS4, nothing had been stated about the Xbox One version. According to OnlySP, the game will indeed run at 1080p/60fps on the Xbox One. The journalist reached out to Microsoft, and a representative confirmed the information. This is a good bit of news for a system that has suffered early in the mind of gamers

At E3 2013, Bethesda had Wolfenstein running on Xbox 360’s at the time. The fact that the Xbox 360 version looked spectacular at ran at 60fps can only bode well for the finished product for the next generation version. The Microsoft representative, however, might have stated that this was the case now, but that could be subject to change. The New Order has a while before it hits shelves, and depending on optimization on the next generation systems, early indications and personal experience should show that these statistics should be met in the end.
