Microsoft praises development studio behind ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘Uncharted’ PS4

Phil Spencer has provided a few comments about Naughty Dog, the studio behind “The Last of Us” as well as the upcoming “Uncharted” video game for the PS4. According to a report from Gamepur on Jan. 22, a fan asked the corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios if the company has a development team equivalent to Sony’s first-party studio.

He responded by saying that Naughty Dog is a “special studio with an amazing track record,” adding that they are “unique” in the gaming industry. You can find some screenshots from “The Last of Us” in the slideshow to the left of this article and the comments from Phil Spencer below:

After an eventful 2013, Naughty Dog also has some big plans in store for this year. The studio will be releasing a single-player DLC expansion for “The Last of Us.” Furthermore, new details are expected to be revealed for the next video game in the “Uncharted” series, which is being developed exclusively for the PS4. The upcoming title currently has no release date.

Phil Spencer oversees several big studios at Microsoft Game Studios. The first-party development teams for the Xbox platform include are 343 Industries, Rare and Turn 10 Studios. Even with the enormous talent pool from his company, the executive is still very impress with what Naughty Dog has accomplished.
