Microsoft launches $299 Xbox 360 bundle

On Feb. 28, Microsoft announced a new bundle in the United States for their current generation Xbox 360. The bundle is being shipped to major retailers today, and will be available for purchase on March 1.

This “Spring Value Bundle” is a $299 package that will include a black, 250GB Microsoft Xbox 360 console, a black wireless console, a physical copy of THQ’s “Darksiders II” (Rated M for mature), a download code for “Batman: Arkham City” (Rated T for Teen), and a free month of Xbox Live Gold membership. A stock image provided via Flickr, shown above, also shows a 360 wireless headset.

While this seems like a great deal, some players might not buy the bundle. This possibility arose due to a rumor that has been circulating for well over a week about a possible announcement for the next-generation Xbox console.

Regardless, this is a pretty good deal, and pushes out more copies of “Darksiders II”, which is still owned by THQ, and is one of the last assets being sold due the company going bankrupt.

The bundle will only be available throughout the spring, for a limited time, and while supplies last.
