The blockbusters are coming, and lovers of online slots will need a few buckets of popcorn on standby.

Online gaming company Microgaming is releasing new slots based on three blockbusting franchises:

Game of Thrones, Jurassic Park, and Terminator 2.

Microgaming has an impeccable pedigree in the casino industry – it’s the provider of the world’s biggest Progressive Jackpot Network, and paid out one of the biggest-ever slot wins of £5.88 million.

The renowned software house has been providing online casino software for over 15 years, and today, it licenses products to over 400 brands, with a library comprising of over 700 game titles and 1200 variants, in 30 languages. Games are available across online, mobile, and land-based platforms, and the company is continually developing groundbreaking casino, poker, and bingo products.

Finishing touches are being made to the contracts and licensing agreements, with the new franchise games set for a summer release. They will be available to play at popular online casinos such as

Jurassic Park.
A game will be released for each of the Jurassic Park trilogy: the first based the 1993 original; the second on 1997 film The Lost World, and finally Jurassic Park lll, from 2001.

The first in the series will be stomping and gnashing onto screens in summer 2014, and will feature 243 ways to win, and five free spin modes based on dinosaur DNA combinations.

Roger Raatgever, Microgaming Chief Executive said, “The Jurassic Park brand is legendary, and our game development team is busy creating an almighty slot for release later in the year.”

Terminator 2
The Terminator 2 slot will storm onto the scene with all guns blazing in summer 2014. Microgaming has finalised a deal with Studiocanal to develop the game, and it will feature images of the film’s characters, hundreds of ways to win, and bonus rounds triggered by Arnie’s character, the T800 and T1000. The 1991 film grossed more than £500 million, won four Oscars, and two BAFTAs.

“As explosive as the film, we are in the process of creating an action-packed, jaw-dropping slot; it’s a classic in the making,” said Chief Exec Raatgever, adding he was “incredibly excited” for the forthcoming partnership, as the Termintor 2 brand is perfect for the online casino industry.

Game of Thrones
Microgaming has also signed a licensing deal to develop slots based award-winning TV series Game of Thrones. The games will transport players into a realm of fantasy, as kings, queens, Knights and noblemen battle it out to capture the Iron Throne of Westeros.

“Game of Thrones has a huge global presence online, and our partnership with Microgaming will extend the show’s reach into a completely new realm,” said Director of HBO Global licensing Josh Goodstadt. “We’re thrilled to be working with Microgaming, a giant in its field, and we have every confidence that the show’s active fan base will be very excited to find another new way to engage with the show.”
