Francine, a nine-year-old German shepherd, has been at the Long Beach Animal Control in Calif., since the day that she was picked up as a stray.
Though someone took the time to have Francine micro-chipped, nobody has responded to the calls made from animal control. Francine's time of safety has expired - shelter staff, who love this beautiful senior, pleaded to get her more time, but now, that extension has also drawn to a close.
The following words have been shared about Francine:
I met her today, she is extremely friendly and loving. She is so happy running playing , not knowing what will happen to her in next few days..
Shelter employees and volunteers LOVE her that's why they extended her time, but extended time is OVER..
She is GREAT with people, walked by barking dog kennels, she waged her tail, didn't react ,when she was face to face with a dog in the kennel, she reacted.
Though technically a "senior" given her breed and size, Francine still has wonderful energy and she is able to run and play. Francine is extremely "people friendly," but her ability to live with another dog is unknown.
Please take a moment to network on behalf of this lovely girl - she has run out of time and options.
