Halloween might be weeks away, but the celebration has already begun at Walt Disney World. The Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicked off with guests pulling out their trick-or-treat buckets in September. According to Newsday on Thursday, the Downtown Disney hotels in the Orlando resort area are offering special rates for travel through October 31. This could make your trip to Orlando scary cheap when planning ahead.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party discounts are given to those guests who plan ahead. The ticket prices at gate prices are never cheap, but order online a week or two in advance and see a 25% discount for the planning efforts. The ticketed event includes a special Halloween fireworks show, dressing up in your favorite costume and collecting delicious candy throughout Magic Kingdom park. Strolling the park you might spy your favorite animated celebrities, as well as a few real life celebrities. Add Mickey Mouse and it is a not-so-scary evening of fun.
When your family is tired, returning to a local hotel that offers comfort for a good price is important. The Downtown Disney hotels are only a 10 minute bus ride from the Magic Kingdom and special rates through October are available. The different options offered at hotels in the area will give your family adequate choices no matter how old (or young) the kids are. And, even the adults can find a location where they will be pampered after walking around the theme parks all day.
Halloween couldn't be more fun celebrating the harvest time with Mickey Mouse and his friends. The kids probably will have the time of their lives and take home memories that last forever.
